Our lady of Guadalupe is also called "Empress of the Americas." The artwork features the manifestation of Mary in a traditional star embroidered blue gown. Her hands are clasped in prayer and beneath her feet rests an infant; representing Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe as the protector of the innocents.
