Holt, Sir George Rendel, Gerald de Gaury, and Major R.E. Cheesman. Also included are excerpts from the writings of William Gilford Palgrave and Charles Doughty, watercolor images by Lady Anne Blunt, maps, photographs, and an introductory essay. The captions and commentaries that accompany the pictures have been extensively researched by Eid Al-Yahya and CarolineSinger, and checked by three recognized independent experts in the field.
