Longworth Chuck 10" --- RMWoodco is now manufacturing a CNC cut Phoenelic Longworth Style Chuck. Total set up time averages 3-4 minutes. Use this instead of Cole Jaws, Vicmarc Jumbo Jaws or OneWay Mega Jaws. The modern version utilizes a steel disk approximately 3/8" thick for mounting. This disk is easily gripped by #2 jaws (optional 4" disk available for use with #3 jaws). It is extraordinarily easy and quick to mount and costs about the same as a quality set of Cole/Bowl jaws with similar capacities. Imagine, no more changing chuck jaws or moving buttons, ever! The RMWoodco chuck uses soft red silicone buttons which are longer than most others. They gently compress and will not mark or deform your turned piece.
