Defeating Dyslexia: A Boy"s Story
Paris Innes, an otherwise normal 14-year-old, suffers from dyslexia or word blindness. While teachers have constantly assessed him as "average", his father recognized that Paris" handwriting and spelling problems were not normal - and he took action. He found a Smith-Corna word-processor with a spelling function and painstakingly taught his son to touch type. It changed Paris" life, while by comparison his written work remains severely substandard - and will always do so, the stories in this book demonstrate Paris" intelligence and imagination. His experiences will offer hope to other dyslexics who despair of being able to communicate.
