The author is a U.S Navy WW2 veteran; He served in the Pacific Theatre as a First Class Petty Officer Combat Medical Corpsman with the 128th (Pontoon) U.S Navy Seabees. His tour of duty included Hawaii, Guam, Philippines, Japan and numerous other islands throughout the Pacific including duty aboard 5 L.S.T.s (Landing Ship Tanks) This is his first attempt at writing a book-his other writings included magazines, Airport Bird Control Handbook, Hockey News (Canada); Editor church newsletter. A family reunion and meeting the book"s two main characters generated the thought to write a book. The book is based on factual incidents that occurred during World War II. The invasion of Norway, ship sinking, train hijacking, falling in love, defection,imprison-ment, escapes, marriage, children, business success, and family reconciliation. Truly an Odyssey!
