This DVD is a UK release, (PAL Region 0 DVD) it WILL NOT play on standard US DVD player. You need a multi-region PAL/NTSC DVD player to view it in USA/Canada. Bud Abbott and Lou Costello first paired up in 1935, working in burlesque and eventually getting a break on radio, appearing on The Kate Smith Hour in 1938. Two years later they signed a film contract with Universal and would go on to make a total of 30 films over the next five years.
