Somewhere in what used to be known as the American Southwest, an Indio youth braves the twenty-second-century climate to seek her Guardian Spirit, as her ancestors had done for millennia. Along the way she encounters a series of powerful visions that dramatically bring her heritage to life. Each vision moves her into a deeper understanding of who she is, and quite possibly who she was. The vision she is seeking should show her who she is to become. What she experiences atop the Sacred Mountain easily surpasses both her deepest fears and her highest hopes.
