For perfect roasting results, prepare the meat or fowl as usual. Be sure to use the metal skewer provided first to pierce the meat all the way through. This will protect the glass tube from hitting any bone, gristle, or frozen meat. Do not force the glass tube into meat. If thermometer does not insert easily, re-pierce with the metal skewer. Be sure the tip is not touching any bone, gristle, th epan or is inserted in the cavity of the fowl. Follow your favorite recipe for pre-heating temperature and roasting time and temperature. Leave thermometer in meat while cooking and when desired temperature is reached, remove meat from oven. The red fluid in the thermometer is non-toxic and harmless. If the thermometer should break on insertion or should be discovered broken, the meat can be cut out around the thermometer to remove discolored sections. The remaining meat cill have no unpleasant taste or odor. To avoid damage to thermometer, do not touch hot glass tube with damp cloth or place on cold surface.
