Combining math and language in motivating theme-based activities is the goal of this unique book. Math Through Language is designed so that several of the activities relate to one theme, creating mini units. Each of the thirty-three reproducible activities in the book covers skills areas including patterning, counting, tables, graphs, computation, word problems, time telling, spatial relations, geometry and more. Many of the activities involve handling concrete materials. The lessons are suitable for use in tutorial, small or large group settings. Correlation is provided to the NCTM standards.
