If you"re looking for a single-disc compilation of the Everly Brothers" Cadence era, this 22-tracker would be a good choice, though of course the material was available in many other different formats prior to this 2002 release. It has all of their big early pre-Warner Bros. hits, augmented by some of their better LP cuts. Those LP cuts include half a dozen songs from their 1958 traditional folk-oriented Songs Our Daddy Taught Us album, as well as some early straight rock & roll covers of hits by Gene Vincent, Little Richard, and Ray Charles that prove the brothers could rock out quite hard when they were so inclined.
