The book is a detailed study in syntax suitable for undergraduate Masters and Phd students.The book covers technical areas like structure and rules governing the formation of noun phrases in Lutsotso of Luhya language which is one of the Bantu languages of Africa. The study utilizes Chomky"s 1965 standard theory in analyzing the Lutsotso noun phrase. In this book the nominal categories that are relevant to the noun phrase of Lutsotso are discussed.In addition formal aspects of formation rules, composition, their functions and what their domain of application are, are also discussed it is evident from this analysis that Lutsotso noun phrase is headed by a noun which is either followed or proceeded by determiners. Osore"s scholarly work gives new insights into linguistic research of Bantu languages.
