This book addresses these key questions while giving a historical overview of the genesis, activities and orientations of fourteen policy analysis organizations. Almost all of the material is written by analysts who themselves are, or have been, members of the units under discussion. They write about the founding, funding and findings of the organizations and try to place them within the political and economic context of the period.
