The Jagdpanther was a heavy tank and started production in January 1944. It had the same 8.8cm long barrelled gun as the King Tiger. Its chassis was based on the successful Panther tank.The gun was mounted into a central mantlet, rather than a rotating turret, so it had a limited traverse of only 11 degrees to either side. However, having a good power to weight ratio and the powerful main gun, it was capable of destroying any of the Allied tanks. On a positive note, the Jagdpanther came into service quite near to the end of WWII. The good thing was, by the time it came into service, the war was not going so well for Germany and production was hampered by Allied forces war efforts, also, the existing tanks were running short on spare parts and were manned by poorly trained crew members.This amazing 1:16 scale fully detailed RC replica from Heng Long looks great and is feature packed.
