Pam Tillis has a talent for selecting great tunes, and when she applies her powerful voice and beating heart to them, the result can be amazing as well as country-chart topping. Every Time is no different, as strong a collection of tunes as she"s ever recorded, a nice blend of new and traditional country. The record starts off with a bang with "I Said a Prayer" and never looks back. The title track is a great car-trip sing-along, and "Lay the Heartache Down" is a confessional weeper that displays Tillis"s emotive talent. --Paula Ghergia
