Named after their hometown of Champaign, Illinois, the band consisted of Pauli Carman & Rena Jones on vocals, Michael Day and Dana Walden on Keyboards, Leon Reeder on Guitar, Michael Reed on Bass & Rocky Maffit on Drums. Modern Heart was released in 1983 and contained the hit Try Again, which peaked at #23 on the R&B charts. Woman In Flames was released in 1984 and contained the top ten smash hit Off And On Love.
