God only knows who or what prompted Charles, François and Amélie aka CLARA CLARA to force feed the alphabet to their pyrotechnic firecrackers before they sent them into space; but their second album is a starstruck and dazzling affair and the house is on fire. Larger, more exigent and talkative than their previous effort, Comfortable Problems" is more akin to a big magic book of spells full of songs that can be learnt by heart in a fortnight and haunt your dreams under a starry night than to a ride on a rollercoaster. Capturing the immense energy of the trio in the process of an intense love strut, Comfortable Problems combines the likes of Fugazi (the energy), Yes (the detours) and The Pixies (smiley choruses) and should supposedly - prompt you to ask yourself the question: when was the last time an indie rock album made you want to save mankind? Or, at least, embark a spaceship and hop into a wormhole to go explore the other side of the galaxy?
