To be in Grand Canyon National Park is to confront a spectacular chasm. The measure of your encounter is directly proportional to the amount of time spent in the presence of these "temples". It seems a great injustice to tarry but briefly at a turnout along the East or West Rim Drive. This Park is much, much more than just a magnificent river-cut canyon. Its soul and spirit is a delicate arrangement of wildlife, trees, wildflowers, water, geology and human history carefully blended to create nirvana.
