After noteworthy debuts in Cameroon, Erik Aliana performed across the African continent with his band before coming to Europe in 2003, where he was the discovery of the Musiques Metisses Festival in Angoulême (France). He then toured in the US (notably the Louisiana festival), Japan (2006 and 2007: Sukiyaki Meets The World Festival), and Korea. A multi-instrumentalist as well as a singer-songwriter, Erik is a key figure in Cameroon s musical renewal. He has recently played alongside such African stars as Chiwoniso (Zimbabwe), Peter Solo (Togo), Manu Dibango, and Richard Bona (Cameroon). These 12 original songs, some inspired by O Sananga traditional music, display Erik s great melodic talent, fine arrangements, and charming voice.
