The book is divided into three parts each corresponding to a main analytical step. Part 1 is composed of two chapters dedicated to the classical conceptualization of the division of labour and technical change. Part 2 deals with the formalization of the concepts introduced in Part 1. Part 3 analyzes the implications of the process of "division of labour-technical change" as far as the theory of the firm is considered.
