Amazing rarity from 1970"s Nigeria, the only album from this short-lived Lagos band. They combine elements of American soul, funk, psychedelic rock, reggae, and their own traditional African sounds into something unlike anything else at the time or since. The majority of the album is strong African funk, but some songs cross into new territory-- the title track is a solid piece of funky soul, but with beautiful fuzzed-out guitar solos, and the mellow "Grooving Out on Life" is basically straight-up reggae a la early Jimmy Cliff. Comparable to the legendary band Cymande, but with a heavier darker tone much of the time. Comes in a nice digi-pack with a short interview with band member Maurice Ekpo.
