This French course aims to meet the needs of lower ability students aged 14 plus, for whom a modern language is compulsory for the first time under the National Curriculum. It relates to Level 6 in National Curriculum Key Stage 4, TVEE students in schools or post-16 BTEC. By changing the focus from traditional school language course themes to vocational ones, and by including BTEC-type as well as GCSE-type tasks, the authors have produced a course in tune with the new situation in learning modern languages beyond 1992. The course consists of two pupils" books and two Teaching and Assessment Resource books and two cassettes. The cassettes provide realistic listening material for the work situations covered.
