An appealing 1970"s made-for-TV survival-in-the-wilderness saga about a man who gets bitten by a skunk who, fearing rabies, chains himself to the barn and orders his family not to come near him, no matter how rational he may seem. It isn"t long before a crisis comes along that only dear old and possibly rabid dad can handle: locating a blockage of the river - their only source of water and a flood danger if the blockage is not removed. With his family afraid to go near him, he pleads with them to free him.
