CENTRICA is a young new italian band, today releasing its outstanding debut album. This quartet (Guitars, keyboards, bass & drums) plays a lively, dynamic instrumental Progressive heavy-metal with nice jazz-rock hints. These seven dense pieces offer everything a DREAM THEATER or PORCUPINE TREE lover enjoys: powerful guitar riffs, lively and fluid guitar or synthesizers soli, dynamic rhythms. But CENTRICA is also able to experiment new structures, in more peaceful, acoustic or atmospheric sequences. Let"s mention nice piano parts, for example. While CENTRICA certainly is a bunch of virtuosos, they always concentrate on melodies, and prefer several short soli to one long. Their very structured music is always pleasant and intense.
