Chilled Wine and Assorted Desserts is an anthology of creative writing, produced by the March and Doddington Writers" Circle in celebration of their twentieth anniversary. The book opens with a story of destiny, played out over the chilled wine of a mysterious dinner party. For dessert, stories of murder and mayhem interplay with travel and historical articles and the humour so essential to all our lives. Siggy evokes dark memories for Jewish people in the 1930"s, while Alien Mountain Giants plays tricks with the imagination and The Tooth . will bring déjà vu or near misses to many readers. The curtain comes down on the first act at the end of John Coyne"s "Significant Tumble". The interval is filled with poetry.
