This is a pictorial history of the BMW K100 and K75 series motorcycles. It traces their story from their launch in 1983, when they marked a major departure from the traditional "boxer" BMW twins, and looks at models such as the original K100 roadster, the K100RS sports version, the K100RT touring model, the K100LT "super tourer" and the radically-styled K1, which caused a sensation when it was unveiled at the 1988 Cologne Show.
