Adopting an interactive workbook format, this book introduces students to a number of topics such as female juvenile delinquency, and AIDS. In each chapter, students are asked to think about how each of these problems impacts society and may affect them personally. These critical thinking questions illustrate that social issues are not made up of abstract concepts. Hands-on research experience is provided, helping students to overcome their fear of data analysis.
