Discover the Eye

"Discover the Eye: A Guide to Understanding Your Vision" covers such topics as the eye"s anatomy, macular degeneration, cataracts, signs of glaucoma, how diabetes and high blood pressure affect eyes, and the promises - and limits - of LASIK and other vision correction choices. The book, although written for laymen, offers enough information for readers to understand how their eyes work so they can make more informed decisions with their doctors. Zingaro takes any mystery out of symptoms of eye disease, how conditions are diagnosed and potential options to treat them. A few illustrations diagramming the eye and a glossary of helpful terms round out this comprehensive resource for anyone concerned about vision and eye health. Vince Zingaro earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, Bachelor of Visual Science from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, and Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He has been practicing Optometry in both the private practice and the corporate setting since 2007. Dr. Zingaro has seen thousands of patients over the years in his career, and has managed eye diseases along with pre-and post- operation patients since 2006. He has also lectured within his local community about eye disease. Currently, Dr. Zingaro is in private practice in Pennsylvania.
