US Naval Air Station Miramar lives up to its nickname of "fightertown USA". Being home to dozens of F-14 Fighting Falcons, Miramar enjoys legendary status among aviators across the world since the formation of the Naval Fighter Weapons School, better known as Topgun. The school has modelled itself on a typical Soviet fighter regiment and has trained countless aviators in the art of successful dogfighting.
