Fr Myles Rearden worked for many years in Africa and has taken internships in Spiritual Direction in the United States. In this book, he explores the variety of spiritual living, while giving it some clarity of focus by presenting Fr Myles Rearden"s own experience of a growing relationship with God within the Vincentian tradition. The opening chapters anchor spiritual growth in the experience of individual people, of the Church and of various cultural groups. Chapters four and five speak of how people grow spiritually during their lives. Chapter six deals with ways to grow spiritually, seven - with spiritual growth that begins with a condition of addiction, and eight - with the completion of spiritual growth in and after a person"s death.
