Now published for the first time in standard print book form anywhere is Rider of Lost Creek as originally published in West magazine in 1947. Mort Davis once saved Lance Kilkenny"s life after he was shot up and now Davis has sent out word that he needs Kilkenny"s help. Kilkenny has the reputation of being the fastest gun in the West, but if involved in a gunfight, he leaves the area. Very little is known about him, even what he looks like. Davis has filed a claim on a water hole near Lost Creek in a district dominated by two wealthy cattlemen, Webb Steele and Chet Lord, and both are at loggerheads, each one claiming for himself the water hole that Davis occupies. Kilkenny enters the fracas, and then works to get Steele and Lord to realize that they are pawns in a bigger game.
