Forced migrations of several ethnicities of the USSR was a part of the soviet political repression machine from 1919 to 1953. The rehabilitation process, started in 1989, became part of a new national policy of democratic Russia. By 2000 over two million repressed people of fifteen nationalities were rehabilitated. The implementation of the law raises a complex of new organizational, legal and economic issues. This is a collection of documents on political rehabilitation, including federal and local laws, Presidential acts and other legal documents that define the mechanism and essence of rehabilitation and its specifics for every member of the Russian Federation. The documents are provided with comments. This book was prepared by experts of the Ministry on Federation and Nationalities Affairs of the Russian Federation.
