After the great success of Franz Schubert s Piano Trio No. 1, the Max Brod Trio turns to another master of the art of chamber music. Following an initiative of the European Union in support of intercultural concerts in 2005, Kerstin Straßburg, Petr Mateják, and Maximilian von Pfeil three musicians of varied origins and diverse artistic experience came together with the goal of contributing to understanding between cultures in an ensemble named for the German-language Jewish writer Max Brod. Their concerts and CD recordings have quickly brought them remarkable international resonance and recognition.
