Serious listeners, as well as members of the conducting profession, have long searched for these rare performances. The set includes music by the conductor s favorite composer, Mozart, as well as symphonies by Haydn, Brahms and Schubert. Beethoven is represented by the third piano concerto, and the set concludes with opera excerpts from Schubert s Rosamunde and Wagner s Ring Cycle.
