Und Du, composed in 1963, is a piece about nuclear war, living in a bunker, and Hiroshima. Für K was composed for the 70th birthday of sculptor Karl Prantl. The piece is structured into two movements. In the far-shorter second movement, there are no new events; the goings-on are simply turned in a different direction, which lends the music a new face. The piece is scored for seven brass instruments (one horn, two trumpets, and four trombones), piano, three percussionists, viola, and violoncello. Verzeichnis is a piece based on a list of witches burned in 17th century Würzburg, Germany.
