The two great exponents of the Brazilian Bossa Nova guitar; both men introducing Bossa Nova to North America (and subsequently the world) though their wildly successful collaborations with Antonio Carlos Jobim, Stan Getz and Bud Shank. Our programme comprises incredible rarities from both artists. Bonfa"s first two-impossible to find-10" albums of the mid-fifties and Almeida"s brilliant readings of the work of the famous Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos which announced his arrival on the Brazilian scene.
