With Tin Lily, Black is back with a full band and the sound is fuller, bigger and more rock than ever. He gets accompaniment from Dave Roe (former Johnny Cash bassist for twenty years), Sam Bush on mandolin and fiddle, legendary Nashville guitarists Will Kimbrough (Rodney Crowell, Jimmy Buffet) and Kenny Vaughan (Lucinda Williams, Kim Richey, Marty Stuart) as well as Craig Wright (Steve Earle) on drums.
