Having toured the war zones during World War II entertaining the allied troops Andre Kostelanetz and his wife Lily Pons returned to the States and recorded a series of Armed Forces Radio Service programs for distribution to the troops abroad in 1946. The programs were entitled "Music Millions Love". It is from these half hour transcriptions that the music on this CD has been selected. it is a showcase for the wonderful voice Of Lily Pons who moves from Opera to Operetta to popular song all the while her husband, in evening dress conducts the orchestra. These rare "live" recordings were amongst the last to be made by Andre Kostelanetz before he took to making studio recordings and conducting symphony orchestras.
