The great repertoire represented on this CD presents the talented Simona Cianchi, Yuko Murakami, and Dzenana Mustafic masterfully accompanied by an inspired Raffaele Cortesi. These compositions by the young Toscanini are surrounded by a series of enchanting musical pages by Ildebrando Pizzetti (three of them based on Petrarca s sonets, and the other on the famous poem I pastori by Gabriele D Annunzio), Giovanni Bottesini, Gustavo Campanini, and Giusto Dacci.
