Harvie S (previously Harvie Swartz) has been one of the leading jazz bassists on the New York scene for decades, with dozens of recordings both as leader and sideman. This new release, with Harvie S as a leader, features his current, dynamic Latin jazz sextet with nine Harvie S originals and one Thelonius Monk cover, plus one original by the group"s young star pianist Daniel Kelly.
