Polish conductor Paul Kletzki leads the Philharmonia Orchestra in a 1960 stereo studio recording of Tchaikovsky"s Symphony No. 6 from London"s Abbey Road. This recording, licensed from EMI, has been unavailable for over 20 years and has been remastered from the original EMI Master tapes. John Hunt in his book "Conductors on Record" said that this performance "held its place among the finest recordings of the work ever made." Kletzki is then joined by the renowned violinist David Oistrakh and the Stockholm Festival Orchestra for a celebrated live 1955 account of Tchaikovsky"s Violin Concerto. This recording, licensed from Swedish Radio, has never been issued before and is extremely rare.
