Besides the two titled releases, three tracks from a split EP and four cuts from a live show appear on this catch all disc, making it the perfect place to start for those new to the Antioch Arrow experience. Of the EP cuts, "Times Square" is particularly strong, with muttered vocals and a surging, building current of sound demonstrating how the group made subtle touches as strong for them as flat out energy. The newer version of "The Fixed Orbit" is perhaps even shriller, yet still stronger than the original. On the live cuts, Montaigne sounds incredibly, if rather unsurprisingly, hoarse much of the time, even at points sounding like a bar band vocalist in hell, but otherwise the group is in particularly strong form. Best audience baiting bit: "This one"s for all the boys in the crowd," said as if Montaigne was on the verge of death. ~ Ned Raggett, All Music Guide
