Finally after countless requests from fans, friends, and family, Sister Hazel will be releasing their long-awaited holiday record. Santa"s Playlist is a collection of holiday songs that show a wide range of what has come to be known as the Sister Hazel sound. As diverse and unique as it is comforting and familiar, Sister Hazel just feels like home and what better place to be for the holidays. From classics and standards remade in their own unique way, to obscure Christmas tunes, to several of the band"s originals, there"s a little something for everyone here. The making of the record became a unique endeavor in and of itself. Ken Block explains: We were all really motivated to make this CD, but in order for us to finish it in time for this year"s holiday, we had to do a lot of tracking on the road. We recorded in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Memphis, Atlanta, Myrtle Beach, Dallas, and Gainesville while we were touring. That in itself created a great energy. It was a lot of work, but we had a blast.
