Live! at Tom"s Strip-N-Bowl is a great collector"s item featuring a drunken yet vicious live set by The Mono Men performing at a buddy"s bachelor party. The record (also available on CD sans fold-out bowling pins) includes three songs from 1994"s Sin & Tonic, as well as Billy Childish"s "Lie Detector," and some of The Mono Men"s best material from previous albums, like "Testify" and "Phantom on Lane 12." Though the sound quality of a bowling alley is not inherently conducive to a live recording, the liquored-up ambience is all Mono Men. ~ Matt Carlson, All Music Guide
