Father Antonio Maria Musilli (1792 1880) was a music theorist and a composer. He was a member of the monastery of Velletri, which belonged to the Roman Catholic Province; he was very fond of music and therefore on November 20, 1825 the Prior of the Friars Minor Conventual Luigi Battistini sent him to Assisi to study with Father Antonio Maria Amone (1768 1848). Once Father Amone died, he was sent by his new Prior Antonio Barbetti to Naples, to study under the guidance of famous Maestro Nicola Zingarelli.
