From the angular edges of the Achivist to the melancholy longing of the Pawnbroker, the characters which populate Dark Island harbour peculiar and frightening secrets. The album is a 10 track exotica-delight that will enchant you; all with a recognisable sound, but the big difference this time is space - lots of space permeating the record with atmospheric indulgence. Slinky guitars, glorious brass, sparse bass heavy beats, floating melodies, all with a prevailing pop air. It"s wonderful stuff!
