Django Reinhardt et Le Quintet du Hot Club de France
Price 10.19 USD
16 classic tracks from the great gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt. Though born in Belgium, Django grew up in the gypsy camps near Paris. He first learned to play the violin and then later the guitar. During a fire he burned his hand and lost the use of two fingers, yet he still played on. After hearing the music of Louis Armstrong he became influenced by jazz. Hot Club chief Pierre Nourry convinced both Django and Stephane Grappelli to join the all-string band called The Hot Club of France and legends were born.
