Stan Kenton was the host of a musical variety show in 1955 that presented artists from the genres of pop, jazz and classical called Music 55. This CD consists of the soundtracks to the last two shows of the series in the best audio possible. Featuring the 55 Orchestra backing such guests as Count Basie, Joe Williams, Julie Wilson, Harold Arlen, Dizzie Gillespie, Coleman Hawkins, Illinois Jacquet, Jimmy Raney, Oscar Pettiford, Buddy Rich and Ella Fitzgerald.
