On Sentridoh"s The Original Losing Losers, Sebadoh"s Lou Barlow offers a varied sampling of the rough home recordings he made between 1982 and 1991. The 43-song collection, revised from past releases like 1990"s Losers, finds Barlow shifting between acoustic existentialist ("Meaningless Dead End"), noise-happy Jad Fair disciple ("I Feel Good Inside About Me"), friendly weaver of child songs ("Purple and Green"), and undersexed eponymous loser ("King of the Dull Thump"). Barlow puts it best in his introductory "Commercial" when he calls the record both "inferior tapes of stupid self-involvement" and "true indie-folk trendsetting."--Roni Sarig
