Lead by virtuoso violinist and conductor Josef Suk (grandson of his namesake and great-grandson of Dvorak), the Camerata Nova Prague along with members of the Czech Nonet perform arrangements of Dvorak Serenades and Violin Sonatina, arranged by Nicholas Ingman: a realization of a "lost" octet that would later become the basis for Dvorak"s famous Serenade for Strings, Op. 22; a strings arrangement ("Sonatina for Strings") of Sonatina Op. 100 for Violin and Piano; and a string orchestra transcription of the Wind Serenade, Op. 44. The exciting works were commissioned of Ingram in the late 1980s and were recorded by top Czech musicians following political changes accompanying the fall of the Soviet Union.
