No one, but no one, has written about domestic life in America as heartbreakingly and hilariously as Erma Bombeck. In fact, the woman was basically incapable of not being funny, and she sure was a lot more funny than we are, so we"ll leave it to her liner notes to describe this album: "This album is a result of two lectures live from Columbus, Indiana and Canton, Ohio. The humor is family oriented (or, if you like visuals, look upon me as Lawrence Welk in a girdle). It takes a look at marriage, kids, frustrations and the utility room. For a former obituary writer, this is as live as I get."
